Biography

Dr Augustine Okeke is a Lecturer in Leadership and Sustainability at the University of Cumbria and supports the Programme Leadership for the Doctor of Business Administration programme. He holds a PhD in Management, an MSc in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, a PGCert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and Certified Management and Business Educator. His teaching and research span sustainability, leadership, supply chain management, public procurement, project management, business ethics, corporate social responsibility, and organisational strategy. He has extensive experience in undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and executive education, including module leadership, doctoral supervision, dissertation supervision, curriculum design, assessment, and academic mentoring. His research has been published in international peer-reviewed journals, with recent work examining greenwashing, sustainable supply chains, ESG, digital transformation, energy poverty, and sustainability governance in emerging economies. He also contributes to research leadership, external examining, peer review, knowledge exchange, and institutional sustainability initiatives. His academic work has received several awards and recognitions, including teaching nominations, best lecturer awards, research funding, and recognition at international conferences.
