Laura is a Research and Development Fellow for Health and Society Knowledge Exchange (HASKE), within the Institute of Health. She is experienced at delivering a range of commissioned research and evaluation projects across the broad fields of health and society.
Laura is a social researcher specialising in qualitative research and evaluation. She has a background in applied social science, deaf studies, and educational support. In addition to her research skills, Laura has over 20 years' experience of supporting d/Deaf students in further and higher education settings, including as a specialist support professional. Her doctoral research, completed in 2013, explored the lived experiences of young adult cochlear implant users.
