Abstract
Images of the demolition of heavy industry in 1980s Sheffield and the beginnings of redevelopment and consumer culture as steel works were replaced with shopping centres and stadiums. The large format hard back book, containing over 100 hundred colour images of John Darwell's work plus essays placing the work within a social and photographic context, will be published by Bluecoat Press.
