Abstract

This book looks at the place of staff development in the current and future strategic management of academic libraries. It highlights how roles are changing and evaluates the implications of this for skill needs and development routes. The contributors are practising managers in education institutions, and their contributions are illustrated by drawing on their own experience, using material from case studies and relevant international initiatives.
