Abstract
Art rockers Pecker play a live soundtrack accompaniment to Dziga Vertov's legendary filmed wanderings around Moscow and Odessa in 1929. A master of the Russian avant-garde, Vertov presented a fascinating insight not only into Russian life during the first decade of communism but also into the development of early cinematic techniques. This specially commissioned soundtrack was debuted at the Theatre Clwyd in North Wales earlier in the year.
