Abstract
This chapter will review the aims of the book and the theme which underlies it: that you should mediate changing statutory requirements and non-statutory guidance through your personal philosophy. It will consider the book as a whole and help you to reflect on what you have learnt through reading and interacting with it. It will reinforce your awareness of why ‘professional studies’ should underpin all your teaching. It will encourage you to articulate your personal educational philosophy, which, it is hoped, has developed through reading the book, and demonstrate the ways in which you are well prepared to undertake further study at Master’s level.
