Screen Used by Jane Topping, 10 minutes, 2016, Scotland, US premiere. Viewers are closer to their object of desire than ever. This work tests if this closeness amplifies or frustrates feelings of intimacy and ownership. The net and the screen are together creating a new form of desire which has yet to be clearly defined or interrogated.
