Abstract

‘Tails of Cumbrian Heritage’ is a short 10 minute documentary by Georgia Costin & Abbey Wilkinson, filmed while BA Wildlife Media students at the University of Cumbria, UK. Georgia and Abbey’s film tells the story on-screen of breeders and Fell Pony Heritage Trust members Libby Robinson and mother-of-one and hill farmer Samantha Smith as they strive to conserve the wild roots of the ponies found on the fells of Cumbria for future generations. The film won the ‘Saving the Planet’ undergraduate category of the Royal Television Society Student Television Awards 2024. You can watch the film here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74WZO56sKRA
