Abstract

This report investigates findings arising from in-depth interviews with twenty Ultrasound Department Leads throughout the North West of England. Research evaluates current staffing status, and considers participants’ opinions on the best course(s) of action in relation to future workforce development, and proposed future sonographer education models, in the light of a current chronic lack of sonographers in the UK healthcare services.
