The management of chronic fatigue syndrome: development and evaluation of a dedicated service

Research output: Contribution to journalJournal Articlepeer-review

Abstract

The Joint Report of the Royal Colleges (Royal Colleges of Physicians, Psychiatrists and General Practitioners, 1996) on chronic fatigue syndrome called for more multidisciplinary teams to diagnose, treat and manage the disorder throughout the country. This article outlines the clinical features of the condition, and the development and evaluation of one such multidisciplinary approach to daily management. The different types of service offered will be outlined and the actual treatment approach illustrated with case vignettes.
